The PRO lab connects the creative power of Cornell's architecture students and faculty with real-world challenges facing local organizations, to shape mutually-beneficial educational experiences.
The lab builds a sustainable infrastructure for reciprocity
between the university and its context by
transforming learning into tangible action,
academic research into public value,
and isolated projects into trusted community partnerships.

The PRO lab was established by faculty in the Cornell Architecture department to create continuity for community relationships, develop impactful design outcomes beyond coursework, and build strong local partnerships for the future.
As a body of institutional knowledge, the lab also writes grants, disseminates research publications, and maintains a resource library to support the successful involvement of all students and faculty in its mission.
